A separate and distinguished category of membership is reserved for Fellows. Fellows are esteemed individuals who have maintained continuous College Membership for a period of 10 years or more. They are accredited and trained Members who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the College for over a decade.
In exceptional cases, individuals with 8 or 9 and a half years of continuous membership may qualify for this category, provided they have a valid reason, such as ill health, for a temporary break in their membership. Decisions regarding exceptions will be at the discretion of the Directors.
To be eligible for Fellowship, a Member must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a clean disciplinary record without any serious adverse findings resulting in sanctions by any regulatory or membership body within the past 10 years.
- Have actively contributed to upholding the College’s reputation and advancing the mediation profession.
College Members who have been active for at least 10 years can initiate their application for Fellowship by completing the online application form. Additionally, they must secure the support of two Members with a minimum of 5 years of membership, who are willing to provide letters of support.
The Board will hold the responsibility of evaluating applications and has the discretion to assess each case individually. Please note that there will be a processing fee associated with the application for Fellow status.
Upon designation as a Fellow, College Members will have the privilege of using the designatory letters ‘FCM’ to signify their status within the College and the mediation profession.
The Fellowship category is a prestigious recognition of a Member’s long-term commitment, expertise, and contributions to the College’s mission and the mediation field.
